February may be the shortest month but I feel like it’s always jam-packed. Here’s how my February is going so far:
I’ve been working a lot on some large projects at work.
I’ve been addicted to watching all the home organization shows on Netflix.
I haven’t been reading so much (see above – working a lot!).
I enjoyed our few days of snow.
I’ve been drinking a lot of coffee.
I’ve been thinking about buying another plant.
I’ve been wondering why I have so many shoes when I only wear the same 3 pairs all the time.
Yet, I’ve also been thinking about buying another pair of running shoes. I like the Brooks Running Ghost 13 and they have some great colors out now!
I’ve been dreaming of all the places I’m going to visit as soon as it is safe to travel again.
I’ve been listening to a lot of podcasts.
I’ve been wondering if watching all seasons of The Office is a good enough reason to sign up for Peacock – right now it’s not.
I’ve been signing up for some great virtual 5ks.
I was disappointed to hear that the Rock ’n’ Roll Half Marathon has been postponed – it’s one of my goals this year to complete.
I’m still loving my weighted blanket.
How is your February treating you?

February has been……okay. Winter has seemed longer since we haven’t really been going any place, hardly at all. And this month is kind of the first anniversary of when things were most “normal”, before everything turned so strange with the pandemic, so that has been on my mind a lot, being all introspective, I guess. Getting a big snow was wonderful. That felt long overdue, to me. The crocuses are popping up all over the place, that has cheered me up a little. Kind of funny that they are showing up all the sudden, so soon after the snow. Have you noticed any? The witch hazel already has been blooming.
Have you ever run in the Seattle half marathon? that would be awesome! I wish I could do that. The rock and Roll Marathon is cool. I’m too old now for any idea of being in a marathon, I[m pretty sure I’d end up with a stress fracture. Too much walking on cement just kills my feet. But oh what a feeling to go that far!!!! It’d be fun! Good luck with your training and doing your virtual 5ks.
I haven’t seen any crocuses yet. The little park outside MOHAI in South Lake Union has daffodils although they look like they were planted there. I’ve also noticed that some of the trees have started to bloom as well. I’ve never run in the Seattle Half Marathon. The most I’ve ever done is a 10k so a half was going to be my goal this year. Maybe it will still happen, I guess we’ll have to see!
