I love autumn. I love when the weather cools down and the leaves begin to change colors. I adore sitting next to a roaring fire or snuggling underneath a bundle of blankets.
It’s hard to believe that September is almost over. This summer seems to have flown by. I was captivated by the Summer Olympics and was amazed by all the athletes. The weather in Seattle was beautiful, but now I am ready for fall and all its splendor.
Autumn brings back-to-school and football games. New shows debut on television and favorites from last season return. Coffee shops bring out their fall flavors. Sweaters and jackets that haven’t been worn in months are slowly making their appearances.
The days are getting longer and every morning is just a bit cooler than the day before. Soon the leaves will turn red and orange and yellow and fall from their trees to coat the streets and sidewalks. And until then, I’ll enjoy these last days of September until they fade away to make room for fall and winter.
