It’s getting close to the end of the year and we only have one month left. Here is my monthly wrap up of some of the things I’ve watched, eaten or drank, or just loved for the month of November.
What I’m watching:
I look forward to watching all the Hallmark Christmas movies during this time of year. But I don’t have cable and without cable, Hallmark makes it very difficult to watch their Christmas movies. You can stream the Hallmark Channel through their website and app, but that doesn’t give you access to all the newest movies, which is what I want to watch. I had heard about a new streaming service called Frndly TV where you can stream the Hallmark Channel so I did some research and signed up.
I love this streaming service. There are 15 channels included with Frndly TV, including the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Depending on which plan you sign up for, you can also record shows to watch them later. There are commercials because you are basically watching whichever channel you turn to but I don’t mind those. I’ve already watched plenty of movies and I love that I can turn it on and have a cozy Hallmark show in the background when I’m doing things around my apartment. The only thing is that after about 3 hours or so, a notice pops up asking if you are still watching – and my answer is always “Of course I am!!”
What I’m eating:
Every year I wait patiently for the winter holidays because that is when Starbucks sells the snowman cookie. I don’t know what it is about this cookie but I think it’s the best food offering at Starbucks. I’m pretty sure it is just a regular sugar cookie with icing but I recommend it to everyone and it’s always on my list to buy when I go to Starbucks.
What I’m loving:
Daylight saving time ended at the beginning of the month and we all moved our clocks back 1 hour. But now, it gets dark so early in the evening. Combined with our typical pacific northwest weather of clouds and rain, and it’s just starting to feel very gloomy. So, I’ve been burning a lot of my candles. I find that burning candles boosts my mood. Just seeing that tiny flame brings me so much joy. I love buying candles but then I never light them which is a waste. I’m trying to use more of the things around my apartment instead of just having them sit on shelves taking up space. Plus, the holidays are the perfect time to burn candles because, in my opinion, that’s when the ones with the best scents are sold. I love a sugar cookie or gingerbread scent and it makes my apartment smell so yummy!
See you next month!
