I read 58 books in 2021. My goal was to read 52 books so, in my opinion, I totally crushed this goal. Last year I was in a bit of a reading slump, but I read some great books this year.
Here’s my 2021 reading in review:
Number of books read: 58
This averages out to just a little bit over 1 book read per week.
Number of pages read: 21,159
Averages out to approximately 407 pages read a week.
Longest book:
Happily Ever After at 496 pages.
Shortest book:
The Beauty of Living Twice at 244 pages.
Average Book Length:
364 pages
According to Goodreads, my average rating was 3.2 stars. I tend to rate most books around 3 or so (or as Goodreads likes to say “It was good”). I only rated 2 books in 2021 as 5 stars.
Books by genre:
Fiction – 53
Nonfiction – 5
Books read for book club – 0
My book club met a few times last year but I was only able to join them in December when we did an ornament exchange. We are planning to hopefully meet more in 2022 so I am counting there being at least 1 book that I read for book club this year.
Books by acquisition type:
31 books were borrowed from the library
26 books were owned by me
1 book was borrowed from a friend
Books by format:
Paperback – 21
Hardback – 17
Ebooks – 20
I try not to buy hardback books, just because they are so expensive. Most of the hardback books I read this year were borrowed from the library.
Happy reading!!
