top ten tuesday: things from books I’d love to own.

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week’s topic is Bookish Merchandise I’d Love to Own. I sat here and could not really come up with many bookish items that I’d want to buy. I don’t really own or buy too many bookish things unless you count actual books! I have a tote bag and some bookmarks, but that’s about it. Although I have seen a lot of bookish cross-stitch pieces that I would want to buy. Hmmm, maybe I’ll have to come back to this topic later once I’ve thought about it more.

Instead, I decided to write about Top Ten Things From Books I’d Love to Own. I had a lot of fun thinking of things that are in books that I would want for myself. Although, when I got to the end of my list, I realized that a lot of things I’d like to own are food…

Harry Potter‘s invisibility cloak. How fun would it be to be invisible?
Becky’s wardrobe from the Shopaholic books. She is such a fashionista!
Speaking of clothes, I would also love to own Rose’s shoe collection from In Her Shoes.
Blackbird pie from Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe. Or really, any of the pies or sweets that Anna Kate bakes.
The OASIS from Ready Player One. I’m not sure the OASIS can be purchased, but I would love to be able to plug into this virtual reality.
The jeans from The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. I can never find jeans that fit me. Maybe these would?
All the grilled cheese in Up To No Gouda. I got really hungry reading this book because of all the grilled cheese that Carly makes. It all sounded so yummy!
Mary Poppins‘ parrot head umbrella. Because it’s cute. Bonus points if it talks like in the movie.
The pizza from Eat, Pray, Love. The pizza in Italy sounds delicious!
