Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week’s topic is Completed Series I Wish Had More Books. But…I realized that I haven’t really read a lot of completed series so I don’t have much to post about that. I’ve read lots of books that are part of a series but I’ve only finished a few complete series.
So, I’m going to use last week’s top ten Tuesday topic – Books I Love That Are Over 10 Years Old. You all know I’ve been tracking my reading on Goodreads since about 2010 so I logged onto the site and looked at some of my favorite books from over 10 years ago. I had a bit of a hard time picking out books because there were so many that I love, but I narrowed my list down to 10 books over 10 years old.
Here are 10 Books I Love That Are Over 10 Years Old:
1. Rage of Angels by Sidney Sheldon published in 1980. This book is great. It’s got lawyers, the mafia, politicians, and a secret love child. Yes, it was written in the early 80s and you can tell, but I will always be grateful to my college roommate for making me read this book.
2. My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult published in 2004. This book is one of the first of Jodi Picoult’s books that I read and, in my opinion, will always be the best. Tip: Don’t watch the movie based on this book!
3. Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella published in 2000. Although I stopped reading the Shopaholic series after the third book (I get it, she likes to shop!) I still really liked the first book.
4. Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman published in 1995. I love this book about witchy sisters. Also, unlike My Sister’s Keeper, I actually like the movie based on this book!
5. These Happy Golden Years by Laura Ingalls Wilder published in 1943. Yes, I read this book in elementary school, but it’s still my favorite out of all the Little House books.
6. Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice published in 1976. High school me loved this book. I even had the movie poster in my room!
7. Just Listen by Sarah Dessen published in 2006. I thought this book was just so lovely and I loved all the music.
8. Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost published in 2007. The first Cat and Bones book! This book is a fabulous start to a great series (even though I may have never finished reading the series…).
9. Northern Lights by Nora Roberts published in 2004. I don’t know if it’s because this book takes place in Alaska and I love Alaska but this Nora Roberts book has had a place of honor on my bookshelf for over 10 years.
10. No Greater Love by Danielle Steel published in 1985. This book may also have been recommended to me by my college roommate. I really should thank her for all her book recommendations haha!
I know that some of these books are REALLY over 10 years old but they fit the category! Do you have any books you’ve loved that are over 10 years old?

I’ve never read Interview with a Vampire. I should sometime! 🙂
