Every December I pick out a handful of holiday books to read for the month. I indulge in my love of Christmas and read these cute books that take place during the holidays. I settle on my couch with a blanket and some hot chocolate and immerse myself in a world of Christmas magic, family, and friends.
I usually read romance because they have happy endings and who wants to read a book about Christmas that doesn’t have a happy ending? This year I have a mix of new and old books. Most are in paperback but a couple are ebooks so that I can read them on my kindle.
Here is my December TBR list:
1. Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borison – My friend Alli has been raving about this book and when I learned it was a holiday romance I knew I had to add it to my list.
2. The Merry Matchmaker by Sheila Roberts – An Emma retelling but it’s Christmas! I love all versions of Emma.
3. The Christmas Countdown by Holly Cassidy – This advent calendar tasks/scavenger hunt plot line seems so cute! I can’t wait to see what Christmas-themed tasks the author comes up with.
4. The Holiday Cottage by Sarah Morgan – I always look for the new Sarah Morgan holiday book to read. They are always so heartwarming and lovely.
5. Kiss Me at Christmas by Jenny Bayliss – Having to direct a Christmas play with your one-night stand? Love it!
6. Christmas is All Around by Martha Waters – This one sounds so cute with the main characters going to a bunch of Christmas-decorated places in London. I’m excited to read about all the decorations.
7. A Winter Wish by Emily Stone – Emily Stone tugs at my heartstrings every holiday so I know to save this book about a woman dealing with her father’s death over the holidays until the very end of December.
8. Christmasland by Anne-Marie Meyer – A town dedicated to recreating a Christmas movie? Sign me up and let me know how to get there because it is next on my travel list.
9. Christmas at the Little Paris Hotel by Rebecca Raisin – This book looks enchanting and hopefully will contain many descriptions of Paris decorated for the holidays.
10. Christmas at Glitter Peak Lodge by Kjersti Harland Johnsen – This book takes place in Norway and has 24 chapters, each set on a different day in December leading up to Christmas. Plus, it’s a mystery!
I’m so excited to start reading this year’s holiday books!
