Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week’s topic is Books I Hope Santa Brings. I have a lot of books on my TBR list, and there are so many books to read! I keep finding new books to add to my list, and I had a hard time narrowing it down to ten.
Here are ten books that I would love to find under the tree on Christmas:
The Gnomes of Grimblewood by Sarah Schira. I checked this book out from the library with the intention of knitting little gnomes this winter. Unfortunately, I ran out of time and had to return the book before I could really get started. I would love to own the book so I can knit some gnomes at my own pace and maybe, next year, I’ll have them done in time for December.
The Housemaid by Freida McFadden. I haven’t read a book by Freida McFadden, and I thought that now would be the perfect time to start.
6:40 to Montreal by Eva Jurczyk. I keep seeing this book all over Barnes and Noble, and I am intrigued. This book looks like it is similar to Murder on the Orient Express. I love a locked room mystery!
Emily Wilde’s Compendium of Lost Tales by Heather Fawcett. Here’s the deal – I’ve almost purchased this book so many times at the bookstore; however, the edition in the bookstore has deckled-edge pages, which I am not a fan of. I just can’t justify spending money for this book because the pages would make me crazy. But if Santa were to bring it, well that’s another story…
The Life Impossible by Matt Haig. I really liked The Midnight Library, so I thought I would like this book as well. The writing seems to be similar.
The Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon. This book was one of my favorites from 2024. I would love to reread this one to experience the story again.
Sounds like Love by Ashley Poston. I’ve liked every book I’ve read by her. I love some magical realism.
If It Makes You Happy by Julie Olivia. You guys, I still haven’t read this book and it has remained on my tbr list. If only Santa would bring it for me so I could finally read it!
My Husband’s Wife by Alice Feeney. This book doesn’t come out until January 2026, but maybe Santa can put in a preorder.
The Astral Library by Kate Quinn. This book also comes out next year, in February. But maybe Santa can schedule it to arrive on its release date!

Nice list! I hope Santa brings you some good ones!
Thanks!
