Last week I talked about holiday snacks, and this week I’m talking about holiday treats. What’s the difference between a snack and a treat, you ask? Not much! But in my opinion, a snack is something you can nibble on over multiple sittings, while a treat is meant to be enjoyed all at once.
Every year, I eagerly await the arrival of the holidays, knowing my favorite seasonal treats will soon appear. And yes, I’ve already indulged… a lot.
Snowman Cookie
My absolute favorite holiday treat comes from Starbucks: the snowman cookie. I know that it’s just a sugar cookie with frosting. But there’s something about it that makes it so much better than an ordinary cookie. Last year, Starbucks replaced it with a penguin cookie, and while cute, it was definitely not the same. I was thrilled to see the snowman cookie make its return this year.
Caramel Brûlée Latte
Another holiday favorite of mine is the caramel brûlée latte. This drink only appears during the holidays, and I don’t really understand why; what’s so special about it that it can’t exist year-round? I’m not sure exactly what makes it taste so different from a regular caramel latte, but it’s rich, decadent, and absolutely divine. One sip and it instantly feels like the holidays.
Starbucks is my usual go-to, but this year I discovered that Mercury Coffee Co. also offers a caramel brûlée latte. More places to enjoy my favorite seasonal drink? Yes, please.
Top Pot Holiday Doughnuts
I don’t eat a lot of doughnuts, but when I do, Top Pot is my place. During the holidays, they usually offer seasonal flavors like eggnog or peppermint. This year, they had a candy cane doughnut, which I couldn’t resist trying. It was a chocolate doughnut topped with candy cane pieces. It was delicious, though the candy cane did have a habit of sticking to my teeth.
Mini Yule Log from The French Bakery
I recently stopped by The French Bakery and spotted a mini yule log in the display case. I’d never had a yule log before, but I knew I had to try it. It was chocolaty, rich, and absolutely delicious. A perfect little holiday indulgence.
Peppermint Bark
Another treat that only seems to exist during the holidays is peppermint bark. Why? It’s just chocolate and peppermint, two things that could be enjoyed year-round, but somehow it feels extra special this time of year. I love the combination and always look forward to it making its seasonal appearance.
Holiday treats are one of my favorite parts of the season. They’re little moments of joy that make everyday errands feel special and turn ordinary days into something cozy and celebratory. I may not indulge all year long, but during the holidays, I fully embrace these treats and savor every bite.

I think my favorite of these would be the snowman cookie or the peppermint bark!
I got these mini peppermint bark candies this year and they are bite-sized. I love them!
