February always goes by so fast. I don’t know if it is because it’s the shortest month (do those two days really make such a difference?) or what but I can’t believe we’re already heading into March. March is my birthday month so I need to gather all of my birthday coupons to make sure I don’t miss out on anything! Here is my monthly wrap-up of some of the things I was up to in the month of February.
What I’m reading:
I’m still making my way through all the library books I have checked out. I have so many books on hold that it feels like as soon as I return one book, three more are available to borrow. I think all the books I’ve read in January and February of this year have been library books. I really enjoy checking books out from the library and utilizing their services but then I look at the stack of books I own on my bookshelf and I think I should be reading those. One of these days I won’t have any books checked out and then I can get to them.
What I’m watching:
I haven’t really been watching much on television. I have been watching a lot of YouTube, just watching some of my favorite vloggers. I need to find a new show to watch, maybe on Netflix or Amazon. Sometimes I feel like there are too many available shows and I fall into the black hole of not being able to figure out what to watch and then I’m just scrolling through the titles for a half hour.
What I’m loving:
I am loving my meal planning. Every Sunday I sit down and write out what I’m going to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the week. I love it because I don’t have to worry or think about what I’m going to eat each day. I know that when I come home from work, I can just look at my plan and know what to eat. Does this mean that I can never deviate from the meal plan? No! I can totally pick something else to eat for any of my meals if I want but the fact that it’s already planned out and I don’t have to put any thought into it is great for my mental health. It’s just one less thing I have to worry about.
See you next month!
