One again, we’ve made it through another month and the year is halfway over. I’m still working from home, still social distancing, still going on long walks. I realized that when I was writing up this wrap-up that the theme of this month seems to be “Things that I’ve forgotten how great they are.” Both things in what I’m eating and what I’m loving this month are things that I’ve rediscovered in the past few weeks. Here is my monthly wrap up of some of the things I’ve watched, eaten or drank, or just loved for the month of June.
What I’m watching:
I finally watched Knives Out. I liked it a lot but I especially enjoyed Daniel Craig’s performance which got me thinking “What other movies can I watch that have Daniel Craig in them?” Which then sent me down a rabbit hole of watching Daniel Craig movies. I watched all 4 of his James Bond movies – Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, and Spectre – and I had to rent two of those movies. I cannot tell you the last time I actually rented a movie. I watched The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I’m on the fence about watching Dream House. On the one hand, it stars both Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz. On the other hand, it might be scary. Logan Lucky is next on my list to watch. I guess when I run out of Daniel Craig movies, I’ll have to find a new actor to watch.
What I’m eating:
Breakfast is always a tricky meal for me. I usually try to get/make something for breakfast that I can eat at work so it needs to be something I can pack and take to work easily. When I was at the grocery store I decided to get some cereal to eat for breakfast. I love having cereal and milk but milk is the one thing I haven’t quite figured out how to take to the office. I would feel weird bringing in a gallon of milk to put in the office fridge so I could eat my cereal every day. I’ve tried pouring milk into little containers but they always seem to leak. But, since I’m working from home, I don’t have that problem anymore. I happily picked up some cereal (I like Special K Chocolatey Delight) and milk and that’s what I’ve been having for breakfast recently. I forgot how good it is! There is just something about cereal and ice cold milk. Really, cereal is something you can eat for any meal or snack at all times of the day.
What I’m loving:
Probably my least favorite chore is cleaning the bathroom. Seriously, I would do almost any other chore than that. But it has to be done, right? So I was cleaning my bathroom earlier this month and I pulled out of my cleaning supplies something I forgot I had – a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I don’t know what the magic eraser is made out of but it is truly magic. It just wipes away all the dirty gunk and makes everything sparkling. I think I’m going to have to go and stock up on a bunch of these (I completely wore the one I had to the ground) so I can make sure I have one every time I clean. If you have not tried the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, you should, because I fully believe it will change your life.
See you next month!
