Fall is my favorite season. I love wearing chunky knits and scarves and there’s just something about drinking a hot drink while snuggled up in a blanket that conveys all the feelings of coziness. It just seems like a magical time with the leaves changing colors and falling to the ground. I am starting to light my candles more often and it’s getting chilly in the mornings. There are lots of things during the fall that I look forward to but I do have some absolute favorite activities that I want to try to get to this year.
To celebrate fall, here is my fall bucket list:
1. Eat donuts and drink hot apple cider. I love the caramel apple spice at Starbucks!
2. Put out my fall candles. I love a pumpkin or apple-scented candle.
3. Gather all the blankets. Sitting under a cozy blanket is the best.
4. Watch spooky and/or fall movies. There are so many great movies for this time of year – You’ve Got Mail, Hocus Pocus, and of course, Practical Magic, to name a few.
5. Make pumpkin bread. I’m not a huge fan of pumpkin pie but I love pumpkin bread and I make it every year.
6. Go on a fall hike. It’s the perfect activity to see all the fall foliage.
7. Go apple picking. I’ve only been apple picking once in Seattle but it was a lot of fun and hopefully, I can go again this year.
8. Make soup. Fall is the best time to start making soup. I can’t wait for the smell of soup simmering in my kitchen.
9. Pick fall flowers. I think chrysanthemums are some of the prettiest flowers.
10. Start Christmas shopping. It’s never too early to start shopping for people on your list!
11. Eat candy corn. Yes, I love candy corn and I am not afraid to say it.
12. Run a 5k. Fall 5ks are the best because they take place in the crisp mornings when dew is on the ground. Plus some of the best themes are in the fall like Halloween-themed runs and turkey trots. One of the organizations near me always puts on a Where’s Waldo 5k and it is so fun.
13. Watch the new Hocus Pocus movie. I can’t wait to see what those witches have been up to.
14. Drink hot chocolate.
15. Take pictures of all the colorful leaves. One of my favorite activities is to walk around the city and find all the beautiful trees.

Nice
Yesssss to donuts and Hocus Pocus!!
