How is it already October 1? September was another busy month for me work-wise. I put in a lot of hours in the office and at home. In fact, I just glanced at my wall calendar and realized it is still set to August. How did I miss turning the page for an entire month? Despite being busy, I still managed to indulge in and watch some fun things. Here are some of the things I was up to in September:
What I’m eating:
We’re coming into cozy season and I’m loving it. I’m thinking of all the soups and chilis and the comfort food I can’t wait to cook. Now that the weather is cooling down, I was able to make this white bean chicken chili in my crockpot and it was amazing. I ate it every day for lunch. I think I’m going to make some regular chili today and I’m excited. I like this recipe – it’s fairly simple and instead of using all the chili seasonings, I just use a seasoning packet that you can get from the grocery store. It also makes enough chili to last me for the entire week and I can put some in my freezer to eat later.
On another note, I really want to learn how to make my own pizza. I’ve tried before but my pizza crust always turns out a bit bland. Also, I don’t have a pizza stone to bake my pizza on and I don’t know how essential that tool is to making a good pizza. Maybe I’ll start looking at some pizza recipes to cobble something together that looks good.
What I’m watching:
I’m still watching Lost. I’m in the middle of Season 3 and I have a lot of questions about what happened and what’s going to happen next. I think the characters are super interesting and I like the way the show is written so that you have one opinion of someone but then through the flashbacks of that character’s life before the plane crash, you completely change your opinion of them. I’m going to keep watching because I really need some answers to all my questions.
What I’m lovng:
I’ve been watching this furniture restorer on YouTube called Katie Scott (her channel is called Salvaged by K. Scott) and am loving it. She is a furniture restorer/flipper whose business is located in Canada and I love watching her bring old, dirty, and broken furniture back to life. I’m not going to lie – it looks like such a fun job. I’ve gotten a lot of tips just from watching her channel. I think she’s so personable and I adore her Canadian accent!
See you next month!
